I'm not suggesting a simulator pause with this to preface, as I've seen another suggestion with a similar idea, but that one goes around the idea of pausing the whole sim

 

It would be good if we can continue the flight tracking, but pause it and resume it when we want to. Use case for example could be your simulator crashes, so you pause the flight tracking to reload, load a autosave/set your position and resume it again, so your flight doesn't look something similar to the picture I have attached

That button pauses your sim, is msfs is enables active pause for example, it doesn't stop the tracking.
