Ant Craft Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I think it'd be highly beneficial if we were able to have more control over the aircraft details. Firstly, in this example here, we have a plane that has already got it's details in the database. However, the airline isn't correct - it's currently set to Karat instead of Canadian North (an understandable mistake as Canadian North is AKT/5T). Since these details are locked out, it means a person who wants to use the correct airline won't be able to change it themselves. There's also the matter that a person may also want to change it entirely if they are simulating a flight in the past with a previous airline, or in a more significant case, in a situation where a registration is re-used like with C-FCJU - this aircraft is now used on a Cargojet 767, where as it used to be used on a Cargojet 727 instead. Secondly, going back to C-FCJU, if a person did want to fly it's 727 counterpart instead, all the extra details such as MSN, model, engine, hex ect. would all be wrong then. There also cases where these details of course haven't been available in the database, so it'd also allow a person to fill in that information if it was missing. I definitely think for most users, the elevatex managed data will suit them perfectly fine. But in the rare cases when the data is just missing or a person is wanting to simulate a different aircraft. Maybe it can be achieved by having a toggle that switches between managed details and manual details, but either way, I think there's benefits to someone being able to customise all the details if they want to.
Solution Chris Posted April 26 Solution Posted April 26 Hi, Thanks for your suggestion! I have forwarded it to the development team. Quote Firstly, in this example here, we have a plane that has already got it's details in the database. Since these details are locked out, it means a person who wants to use the correct airline won't be able to change it themselves. This is already an option, You are able to change the airline manually if you want as shown in this picture belowhowever, thats only possible after you have completed your flight, so i understand where you are coming from!
