Import from CSV gives 97KS Augusta sometimes

Featured Replies

Hi! Im trying to shift from Volanta to Elevatex and give it a serious try.

I exported the data from Volanta and used your import function to get things back in Elevatex. The import seems to work well. The number of flights are the same as in the export, so far so good.

However, I have some flights where the from/to is not like in the export, but "defaulted" to 97KS Augusta.

Is that something that is a known issue or maybe caused be me? I can manually change from/to in the gui and then it is corrected, but its quite some flights and thus quite some work to correct.

I checked the export files and there is no 97KS or Augusta in that file at all, so it doesn't seem to be in the export in an obvious way.

Hello @karnyvekz,

Are you able to verify that you used the third-party software to create an export file for ELEVATEX? We don't support direct imports from Volanta any longer because they began randomly changing their formats to make their files incompatible with our import system.

Hi, yes I used third party software, the one that is on github and denied on flightsim.to.
I did go there because Im still waiting on the official export I requested.

@StixAviation Can work this out maybe? It would be a great reason for me to shit to Elevatex if my history is preserved.

@StixAviation I read my previous message and it wasnt my best ;) sorry for the typos

Can we work this out somehow? I mean, once I can succesfully import my Volanta history, then I can move to Elevatex.

Im pretty sure you figured which exporter im using, but for the sake of being complete:

I don't see any 97KS in the export so I expect it to be your fallback airport. The structure of my export file looks like it makes sense. I included it as well.

Hello again @karnyvekz,

Are you able to give me a few of the airports that are being replaced by 97KS? It is possible that we do not have them in our database currently, therefore them being replaced.

Hi @StixAviation I managed to quickly find a couple.

EDFU

EDVP

EHHO

EYSB

There are more and also they seem to be (even) less mainstream airports than the ones above. So your hypothesis could be correct.

I feel that they should be in the data base, but first lets establish if they are actually not in the database of course!

Hello again @karnyvekz,

We seem to have all of those airports in our database. I would recommend contacting the creator of the Volanta data exporter about this issue(he is always happy to help solve issues!), as it appears to not be on our end.
