Wrong Plane in Flight Overview

Featured Replies

Hi team!

  • App Version: ELEVATEX v2026.1.191133

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Pro

  • Priority: Mid

  • Description:

  • Reproduction Steps:

    • Install D-AIWG livery from Hues

    • Create a flight plane with Simbrief for D-AIWG from EDDF to LEPA according to PDF

    • Start flight in MSFS 2024 and start tracking in Elevatex

    • Open Flight Overview in Map panel and check airplane info of the flight

Expected result: Elevatex should respect the configuration of Simbrief and/or livery used.

Can you check "Identification" tab in the customisation menu when selecting your aircraft. You might have the registration locked and it may need to be cleared for the right reg to be inputted.

Thanks

OMG Trei, that must have been in there for ages 😅 Thank you!

Sadly, now the Aircraft just stays empty, any idea why? Where is that information supposed to come from?

@Papa Wings, you have to create an aircraft and link it to your flight by selecting "Select and Aircraft", otherwise if you have "Automatically Create Aircraft" enabled under Settings -> Preferences -> Automation, it will detect your current registration and create and link an aircraft for you. Note that it just creates an aircraft under your current registration, and will not link it to database data.

Hi Jacob! I am not sure if I get this right...

  • Option A: Disable "Automatically Create Aircraft" -> Set the aircraft for a flight manually every time

  • Option B: Enable "Automatically Create Aircraft" -> Aircraft for the flight is set automatically

But what does "will not link it to the database data" mean? You said before "create and link an aircraft for you".

@Papa Wings,

If your desired aircraft for the flight is already in your aircraft list, enabling "Automatically Create Aircraft" will not do anything. Basically, when enabled, if you fly with a new registration not currently in your aircraft list, it will create a new (blank) aircraft under that registration to record your flight on.

To use an aircraft recognized by our database, you must create an aircraft in the aircraft list and link it to your flight manually. That's why you see an autocomplete when you enter a valid registration (N401DZ, for example).

I hope this clears things up for you,

Hi Jacob!

I don't know what changed apart of me deactivating "Automatically Create Aircraft". But now when I start tracking a new flight the aircraft gets selected automatically.

So I'd say this is solved 😉👍
