Please, please, please respect the time I have set in the Sim

Featured Replies

Hi team, I have just reported some bugs in Aircraft Management. Now I would like to take the chance to ask for a feature to work with flights in the past.

I often fly real ops that happend some time ago. E.g. looking up a flight from Lufthansa with one of the aircraft in my fleet, setting up Simbrief, etc. and just enjoy the flight. However, every single flight I do is considered delayed in Elevatex. Would it be possible that you could check the time I have set up the flight for in Simbrief and compare that with the time the Sim (MSFS 2024) is running? That would just great :)

Hi, you are creating the flight plan in the past, which will make Elevatex show as delayed. If you don't want it to show as delayed, when creating your flight plan on simbrief simply allow SimBrief to calculate the time itself.

Thanks

Hi Trei!

I think it's a very common thing to fly in the past if you fly real ops...? I like to re-do flights from the past and so it happens that I fly them even a week later or sometimes ferry flights even months or years later. Isn't it possible that Elevatex can use the time of Simbrief/MSFS instead? This should really be an option in my opinion.

Thanks

Papa

Yep! It is a very common thing to do if you are flying real operations that have departed a few hours previous. That’s a use case we don’t currently cover. We’re exploring options, but it’s tricky since faking time creates a lot of complications. For now, we stick to real world time.
My personal preference when flying flights that have operated in the past is to let SimBrief calculate its own time, and then adjust my simulator time to match the actual flight time.

Thanks

Thanks for explaining it a little more Trei! I understand this brings new challanges to the app and I do hope you will be able to find a way to integrate this feature some day. In the meantime I will try to ignore the delay Elevatex is showing me in the stats :)

Hello,

This feature has been added in the latest build of the app.
