Update scheduled for next week - Lots of improvements!

We have another exciting update on the way! The build is now in the hands of our QA team for testing, and if everything checks out, we’re aiming to release it next week. This will be the final major update before we shift our focus to our Q4 roadmap, which includes highly anticipated features like Virtual Airlines!

• [Active Flight] Scratchpad for taking notes during flight

• [Toolbox] CTAF Switcher (for US airports)

• [Tracking] Introducing Hobbs and Tach time tracking for aircraft

  • NOTE: This only will start tracking from this point forward. We display the tach time per engine on the Aircraft details page.

• [Filters] Ability to toggle lines/labels on selected filters such as NATS/PACOTS

• [Aircraft] Ability to combine aircraft by airline or aircraft type

• [Flight] Hovering on an airport now lights up the flights going from/to it, yes it's back!

• [Active Flight] Manually entering your departure and arrival gate sets the planned gate, which will be shown on the map.

• [Map] Redone the way the filters affect the layers shown on the map.

• [Map] Flights page is now more performant with a large amount of flights (over 1k)

• [Map] Optimize rendering further with refinements that lower the impact of each render pass

Quality of Life

• [Scenery] Scanner now allows the ability to select custom paths for scenery scanning

• [Navigraph] Added a setting under Settings -> Preferences -> Map to enable showing the occupied and available VATSIM gates

• [Map] Added setting to use the Simbrief Route instead of our custom Navigraph route parser for users with no Navigraph subscription

• [Aircraft] Ability to override a definition an aircraft was made against.

• [Navigraph] Route parser now connects with a dotted line to the IF on approach.

• [Navigraph] ATC route displayed now shows the airline between the correct segments (i.e.. not when there is a DCT)

• [Scenery] Ability to show scenery per simulator (2020, 2024 etc.) via the filters

• [Flight] Added Departure and Arrival gate information to flight details

• [Aircraft] Sort Aircraft by airline in the aircraft list

• [Premium] Added a premium button in the Navigation bar for users without premium, since this was hidden under settings

• [Screenshots] Modified screenshot icon on map

• [Premium] Added gradient to username in friends list if user has premium

• [Flight] Added share flight button under aircraft details, which opens the flight on the public map

• [Map] Unified IATA usage throughout the app, with ICAO as fallback.

• [Filters] Changed name of "Light Mode" to "Satellite Mode".

• [Map] Remove focus when focused on aircraft and dragging on the map

• [Map] Added a setting under settings to enable plotting of ATC routes as Great Circle routes instead of straight lines

• [Map] Made the distance line togglable via a button

• [Twitch] Added an option to expose the overlay server to local network not just localhost

• [Profile] When clicking on the "Actively flying" button it will now focus the user on the map

• [Twitch] Added ability for user customizable command to be trigger for prediction winners

• [Twitch] Added the ability to customize the on-blocks, off-blocks and departure notifications with placeholders that will fill in data.

• [Active Flight] Added prompt to select gate if completing flight before off-blocks is triggered.

• [Friends] Added an X in the friends list to close out of it easier

• [Active Flight] Added route validation, some users managed to post the entire OFP in the route input.

• [Navigraph] Resolved some route parser issues regarding airways continuing on each other

• [Aircraft] Added a debounce (wait) time before triggering aircraft lookup on the aircraft creation page

• [Map] Helicopters now have a helicopter icon

• [Discord] Added XP12 Discord Presence Icon

• [Map] Ability to set Satellite and Dark mode aircraft colors.

Bug Fixes

• [Active Flight] Fixed an issue regarding screenshots causing the app to completely freeze, this was caused by the way the image was loaded

• [Navigraph] Resolved AMDB gates showing occupied when they are not occupied

• [Friends] Resolved incorrect alert text when removing a friend

• [Premium] Resolved issue where renewal price returned was incorrectly returned with the tax of the user included

• [Premium] Resolved issue where Premium badge was showing for non-premium users after navigating to a profile of someone with premium

• [Connections] Resolved issue when disconnecting Navigraph/Discord would cause both to show disconnected

• [Twitch] Resolved Streamer overlay not showing the correct aircraft ICAO code
