Heclak Posted June 11 Posted June 11 In VATSIM, it is common practice for ATC to extend themselves to control multiple sectors at the centre level. Currently, Elevatex only shows the primary sector and doesn't display any information of extended sectors. It would be more accurate to allow interpret and display the extended sectors. You can reference the CTR controllers at Australia and NZ who are very commonly controlling more than one sector at a time.
Amuzing_winnerz Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Presently where we get the data from does not provide this, it is on their to-do list so once they support it we can as well.
Heclak Posted June 21 Author Posted June 21 Is it possible ask what is this data source so we can follow up on their end too? As an addon, maybe consider looking into VATGlasses too as the VATSIM network also does sector splitting (opposite of this request but also related) when multiple ATC logon to the same sector. Particularly in the US.
Amuzing_winnerz Posted June 22 Posted June 22 This is what we are currently going off of this, https://github.com/vatsimnetwork/vatspy-data-project/tree/master This is the only data we get, we currently have no way of knowing exactly who is controlling what, SoCal we have a little bit of data for, but at the center level there isn't much data. If we can get the data it can be implemented but until then.
