ELEVATEX Open Beta Update

Hey everyone!

It is time for an update on our Q1 target. Let’s start with the bad news first. As many of you know, we had mentioned a release in Q1. We’ve worked tirelessly to try and reach this goal but unfortunately have not been able to get the app to the point where we can do this. We have a few important hurdles to jump over before we can do this.

The next question would be, why wait so long before mentioning this? We simply thought we were able to make this target, but with key people being away and having other things going on, we really slowed down towards the end of the month. We have also been implementing more fixes and features than originally planned. There have also been many legal things we are forced to work through, which is always more involved than what it seems like on the surface.

Now the next question is, so when will it release? While we understand how disappointing many of you are hearing this, we are working hard to get ELEVATEX into a releasable state with all planned features, and we plan on sending an update once we are at the point. This will allow us time to get our release build ready and bug-tested before it is released to the public. Until then, we anticipate announcing a date for open beta by the end of April, with hopes of a sooner release.

While we do understand that it has been a long time that this app has been under development, we want all of you to know that creating a flight tracker like this is not easy and, apart from the technology needed, also requires extensive knowledge and expertise to continue development. We understand this message comes at a time when many of you are hyped to get your hands on it, but we appreciate your patience and understanding. We would rather go into public beta knowing we’ve got something that we are proud of versus launching a version that is missing key features.

We thank you all for the continued support, and we would like to note we will be doing weekly updates starting in April; this way, everyone understands where we are at and how things are going. We plan on having a significant update out for all alpha users so everything can get bug tested in preparation for release.

Once again we would like to apologize for the disappointment of not meeting our Q1 deadline, but we are still working tirelessly, day and night, getting this out for all of you.
